Don’t Get Caught Off Guard This Tax Year!
1. Refund Delays!
People who will be taking advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) will see a delay in getting their refunds early. The IRS is not releasing these funds until February 27, 2017. This doesn’t mean you should put off filing your taxes. Ask us about options to get the money early!
2. The PATH Act
The PATH Act made the American Opportunity Credit permanent. This means that those who are attending college will have the credit available from now on. This credit has a refundable portion. If you think you may qualify, talk to us and we can answer your questions.
3. Small Business Owners and the Self-Employed
Are you a small business owner or self employed and wondered if there were options for a retirement plan that will fit your situation? A SIMPLE IRA or 401K may be just what you need. We can give you the tax implication answers you need.
4. Tax Advantages for the Disabled
